‘Ramayana,’ the epic of Asia, is mentioned as the history of ‘Golden Sri Lanka’ going about 5,000 years back. Located in the southern tip of India with dazzling long surf-friendly sandy beaches, a warm and tropical climate throughout the year, a unique culture, and high biological endemism, Sri Lanka is one of the favorite destinations for adventure lovers worldwide today.

That’s only about 7 centuries apart from to-date. But the documented history goes back another 18 centuries where we can find the days of early ancestors’ arrivals on the day of Gautama Buddha’s parinirvana. Sri Lanka can be described as one of the oldest civilizations in human history, Some ahead are Mesopotamia, Egypt, indus and Chinese.

Roaming around the island, One can see some of those historical facts as preserved landmarks, which makes a great base for those who are interested in exploring ancient history that stretched through the golden age of self-sufficient Sri Lanka. 

With testimony to its cultural heritage and ancient historical value, there are eight UNESCO world heritage sites that have been reestablished to-date, which is one of the highest establishments to which density is concerned.  Architectural marvels such as Sigiriya have been considered as the eighth wonder of all time in history.

Theravada Buddhism which was brought in ancient times and combines inhabitants with other practices such as Christianity, Hinduism and islam still makes a greater impact for the society and the islanders’ faith in their cultural and spiritual tapestry. 

But, not to discourage the savorers, I’d say the country has decent nightlife for the partygoers specially in coastal areas for those who prefer slow and laid back party scenes mixed with the sea breeze. Country’s nightlife scene is fairly established in It’s capital Colombo,

However its inhabitants value the quantity over the quality, the natural beauty of the island has exceeded its foreign visitors expectations.
